Excellent for a beginner

Ok, instead of telling you why I liked it, I'll tell you how to improve it. To make the choppers blades spin, select the blades and push F8 and convert them to a movie clip symbol, then double click it and you will see it has a timeline of its own. Make about 3 seperate frames in this timeline of the blades in different positions, as this will keep on repeating itself and make it look like its constantly rotating. To make a light ray so you can see through it, draw the light ray, then push F8 and convert it to a graphic. Then, right click it on the main stage, goto panels->effects-> and select the effect called 'alpha' and then there will be a kindof arrow which you can pull down. The more you pull it down, the more transparent it will look, so there ya go! For a blurred image effect, there really is no trick, you just have to make extra layers behind the front one, copy the thing you want to blur, and paste them slightly behind the original and just do that alpha effect thing with the extra ones behind the original.

I can't think of anything else to say here, so, I hope you find this as useful as I hope you will. Practice makes perfect! :)
